A Little Bit About Me:
Born and raised in Manchester, PA, my roots have kept me teaching where I had learned. I have bled orange and black for over 30+ years. Graduating from Northeastern High School in 1994 as valedictorian, I decided that teaching was my future so that I could give back to the education that I have received. Being a go-getter, I graduated with two degrees (one in elementary education and one in psychology) and a minor in math from Shippensburg University with highest honors in 1998. I have taught at many levels in my 18 years at Northeastern: kindergarten for one half of a year, 8 years teaching 6th grade (mainly math), four years as the middle school interventionist, five years teaching ELA in 7th grade, and two years teaching 8th-grade math. During this time, I earned my master's degree in education and curriculum from Penn State University. I coached JV softball and junior high girls' basketball for three years and served as assistant athletic director for four years.
I am the proud mom of two daughters, Morgan who is a 10th grader and Campbell who is a 7th grader. My free time is devoted to their activities which include dance, lacrosse, basketball, and cross country. I enjoy biking, playing sports, watching movies, and traveling. The sand and the ocean are my happy place besides the classroom with middle school students.
