• Extracurricular Activities Restrictions


    As noted in the courses of action to discipline infractions, special program privileges may be revoked for Level One Infractions.  Students may lose field trip participation for more serious infractions at Level Three.

    In addition, a student who is suspended out of school must forfeit participation in all extracurricular activities during the suspension.

         (I) School Attendance

    A. Participants must attend school the day of a contest, practice or event.

    B. Participants must be at school by 11:00a.m. on the day of the contest, practice or event.

    C. Participants must attend school on Friday to participate on Saturday.

    D. Participants must have the approval of the administrator to participate.

    E. Participants must arrive to school on-time the day after a contest or event.

    (II) Eligibility for the Fall Season

    Eligibility for the fall season will be based upon the AVERAGE from the previous year, NOT from the fourth quarter marking period grades.

    (III) Weekly Checks

    High School & Middle School (Grades 7 & 8)

    High School Students & Middle School Students (Grades 7 & 8) earning two failing grades, as of 8:00 a.m. on the last day of the week, will be ineligible for the next fifteen (15) school days.

    (IV) Special Needs Students

    Special needs students will be checked with all other students.  Eligibility will be determined by a student’s compliance with the Individualized Educational Program.

    (V) Suspensions

    A. Students violating the district’s Drug and Alcohol Policy shall require a 45 school-day ban on participation.

    B. The administration reserves the right to deal with specific cases on an individual basis in regards to eligibility for practice, contests or events.

    C. During the course of a suspension, either internal or out of school, the student is ineligible to attend practice, attend or compete in any extracurricular or co-curricular activity.
