• PE Homework:
     
    Students receive homework assignments for just about every subject in school. The one subject that they rarely receive homework is physical education. To keep your child fit they need to have a combination of healthy nutrition and exercise at school and at home. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend that children ages 6-17 should participate in 60 minutes of exercise each day. At school the students receive physical education twice a cycle and at least one recess each day. To supplement the activity in school I have assigned PE homework to the students.     Get 30 minutes of exercise at home each day!
     
    I am asking that parents/guardians do their best to ensure that each student gets their 30 minutes of exercise at home. Starting healthy eating and exercise patterns at a young age will lead to healthy habits as and adult and ultimately and healthier lifestyle.
