I grew up in a small town a couple of hours north of York County, where I worked at Knoebels' Grove during the summers.  I went on to earn dual teaching degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education from Penn State in 1994.  Then I received my Master's degree in Reading from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel) in 1999.  

I have been a Reading Specialist here at York Haven since 2007.  I love working with the Kindergartners and second graders at our school!  Before coming to Northeastern, my previous teaching experiences included teaching first and second grades and elementary Learning Support.

I am blessed with a wonderful husband and two awesome kids!  My daughter is a freshman at Penn State and my son is in eighth grade.  In my free time I enjoy attending my son's soccer games, playing board games, working out when I can, and of course, curling up with a good book!
