Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Geri Allan

I believe the purpose of education is to provide students with academic knowledge, understandings, skills, capabilities, and cognitive styles for making appropriate judgments and decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities. As well as establishing a safe space to explore academics through cooperation, collaboration and socialization with peers of different backgrounds, identitites and experiences in preparation for work and life as and adult.

Being an educator has an infinite amount of rewards for my students and myself, it is my passion.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Sociology and my Certification in Elementary Education from Hamline University in St.Paul, Minnesota. I was a primary school teacher in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, substitute teacher in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As my children reached nine and five years of age I went back to full time teaching and earned my Masters in Education at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania.  Currently, I am in my twenty-second year at Spring Forge Intermediate.
