Northeastern School District News
Welcome to the Northeastern School District's News page! The district is increasing its communications efforts to keep you informed. Publications produced by Northeastern School District can be found in the navigation pane to the left. District publications are in Portable Document Format (PDF), which can be read by Adobe’s Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, click here to visit Adobe's site to download it for free.
In an effort to eliminate mailing and printing costs, improve efficiencies, and be kinder to the environment, Northeastern School District publications will no longer be mailed to parents. To receive the district calendar, newsletter (Northeastern Highlights), and other school-related information via email, parents should list their email address on the Emergency Verification Form that will be sent home with students on the first day of school. All email addresses will be added to the “Parent Email Blast Directory.”
At the beginning of the school year, each building will compile a list of families who do not have internet access. These families will receive printed copies of the various publications and other school-related information, sent home with their child at school. To ensure that each family has access to the calendar for the first two months of school, all students will receive printed copies of the months of September and October. New students who do not have internet access will also receive copies of the district calendar and other publications upon registration. Please note that no student-specific documents or forms that a parent must sign will ever be sent via email. Residents who do not have internet access may call (717) 266-3667 to receive paper copies of district publications by mail.
